UT business students have worked on business strategies to help local businesses, like El Paso movers to improve their bottom line and increase revenues and profits.

UT business students take courses where they learn how business owners seek the aid of debt relief services to help pave their way to financial freedom. It is this debt relief and financial freedom that helps business owners attain additional success in their careers.

About ABSA

Founded in 1987 by Michal Yang, the Asian Business Students Association (ABSA) is now one of the most professional and prestigious organizations in the University of Texas at Austin. With more than 275 members, ABSA is the largest organization in the McCombs School of Business.

Here is our mission statement:

The Asian Business Students Association (ABSA) is a professional, social, and philanthropic organization. We prepare our members for success in the corporate world, from exposing them to a wide spectrum of industries to providing resources to becoming effective leaders. Although we cater to integrating Asian Americans into mainstream corporate America, our organization reaches out to all individuals for different majors and ethnicities. Strategic partnerships with leading firms provide our members with valuable internships and career opportunities as well as insider tips on resume building, interviewing, and firm-specific information. In our goal to develop well-rounded individuals, we also host many social and community service activities.

THE THREE PILLARS OF ABSA

For 22 years, ABSA has stood firmly on our three pillars: professional, social, and philanthropic. We offer around 150 events every year for our members in the hopes of them developing professionally, finding a family within a large university, and making a difference in the community.

Professional

ABSA holds various professional events throughout the year with business professionals and speakers at General Meetings to promote lasting relationships with companies. Some professional events include:

Case competitions
Corporate Dinner
Scoring Careers Career Fair
Company Trips
Investment Team

Social

ABSA also strives to develop soft skills that cannot be taught in class. Through our team-oriented and familial culture, ABSA members are submersed in an environment that emphasizes dedication, diligence, perseverance, and communication. Some events from our social aspect include: Camping Trip
Socials (Canoeing, ice skating, etc)
Family Events
EOS Banquet
IM Sports

Philanthropic

ABSA is deeply connected to our community. Every year, we provide the Austin community with over 1000 hours of community service through our volunteering events. Not only does ABSA put on a volunteering event every week, but we also host philanthropic events such as sports tournaments to raise money for those in need. Some events include:
Feed Your Mind
Faculty Appreciation
Charity Dodgeball
Keep Austin Beautiful
Countless Volunteering Events
